There are two major types of bonsai: One is the tropical bonsai, also known as the indoor bonsai, which adapts heartily to summer and its scarcity of water by gathering moisture in the roots. Normally speaking, the bonsai is an outdoor plant. But there are a number of plants that benefit from the shelter of the indoors. One example is the fichus tree, which always needs to be protected from the cold. These are the types of plants that are specially groomed for beautifying the indoors, like the tropical bonsai.

This plant almost interacts with you on a daily basis, as it needs constant attention in terms of watering, feeding with fertilizer, pruning, shaping, and root shaping.
